COVID GRANTS – working capital – AGRI-FOOD SECTOR

 

The granting of these aids is proposed in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic which has significantly affected the agri-food sector. The funding is part of the “Support for Romania” package of measures adopted by the Romanian Government and aims to reduce the significant impact of the increase in prices of commodities and their derivatives and to provide support for the recovery of enterprises in the agriculture, fish farming, aquaculture and food industry sectors, some of the most affected by the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Eligible beneficiaries: SMEs, agricultural companies, agricultural cooperatives, producer groups, producer organizations, whose activity has been affected by the effects of the COVID -19 pandemic.

Measure 2, working capital grants (€5.000-120.000) – general information

  • The amount of the grants will be determined according to the turnover – year 2019
    1. for SMEs with a turnover in 2019 between 5.000 and 33.350 euro, the grant amount is 5.000 euro
    2. for SMEs with a turnover for 2019 of more than EUR 33.350, the amount of the grant may be 15% of the turnover – 2019 and may not exceed EUR 120.000
  • The budget of the measure is €250 million;
  • Approximate number of beneficiaries: 10.000;
  • Programme launch date: 26 May 2022;
  • The measure is implemented by the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Tourism.
